The owners made our weekend the absolute best. They are so friendly and helpful. The cabin is beautiful, clean and well-equipped. The property is gorgeous and so well maintained. Firewood was always stocked, the garden was in good shape even though it was early in the growing season. The river was a beautiful to sit by, and to fish. It rained a little to much to enjoy swimming, so the riverside gazebo was very welcome. The area around Elma is pretty and just minutes from the Whiteshell. This is a perfect little getaway so close to Winnipeg. Had we gone a week later, we definitely would have gone strawberry picking just out of town as well.

Hard to improve on, perfect!  Well stocked, VERY CLEAN and so cozy.  Nice touches.

The cabin we stayed at was really nice and cozy, it was nice and clean and the area was quiet and relaxing. Lots of things to do… We got to do some fishing, walking around, had a Bon fire, and went strawberry picking nearby. Joy and Scott were super friendly and excellent hosts. Highly recommended . Will definitely be back!

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous from the moment you walk in! Kitchen is equipped with everything you would need, bedrooms are comfy cozy and the entire place is spotless. Hosts Scott and Joy really go over the top to make your stay top notch. This would be the perfect place to go with a group or for a romantic getaway, don’t think twice! :)

Had the best time *ever* – 3 nights with my sister visiting me (I live in Winnipeg) from Victoria BC, – Aug 24, 25 & 26, 2015, we were there. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to be with each other to catch up on some needed sista time! My sister and her husband are experienced world travelers, 5 star traveller types where they go, top end hotels, top end cruise bookings etc. She LOVED this place! And wanted to stay longer I urge others to check this little town of Elma out and this resort and make plans to stay here, perfect new cabin with perfect amenities, and a perfect couple who runs it, what more could you want? Your peaceful and relaxing getaway from city life in about an hour, what’s not to like about that! :)

Your hospitality made me feel as if we were home in Mississippi.  Your resort far exceeded my expectations.  Thanks for a relaxing, enjoyable stay!

We spent the weekend with our grandson Chase, who is 9, at the resort. We all really enjoyed it. The cabin was beautiful and Chase enjoyed sleeping in the loft area. Chase enjoyed fishing and canoeing with his papa. The cabin had everything you needed. All you had to bring was your clothing and food. The hosts were readily available to answer any questions you had. Would definitely go back again and recommend it to everyone.

My husband, mother in law and one year old stayed here in June of this year for a visit with family in Elma/Winnipeg. The cabin wasn’t 100% complete yet but it was beautiful! I cant imagine what it looks like now completely finished. Property is stunning, right by the river, quiet. Scott and Joy were fabulous hosts and very accommodating. Everything was super comfortable, clean and cozy to the max!. Perfect for our little family! Will definitely stay here again.

The cabin is beautiful and so nice and clean. Very comfortable beds. Great shower. Nice property to explore. We really enjoyed the hosts, who were readily available to take care of our needs – they provided access to the garden, gave us a golf cart ride, lit a fire for us at night, and even drove us to a drop off point so that we could kayak back to the cabin without fighting the current. We look forward to returning in winter for cross country skiing and skating on the river.

Very nice getaway. Owners were great and very accommodating. The cabin was very clean and well kept. Everything you needed at your finger tips. The local store has everything you need. Thank you Scott and Joy.
